Meet the Board

Alicia Smith, Vice President

ALICIA SMITH is the Vice President of WOTWON.  She is currently employed by YRCI Inc. and contacted as an Assistant Program manager/Human Resource Specialist for the United States Agency for International Development.  Ms. Smith spent 24 years in the United States Army as a Career Counselor, Training Development Specialist, Executive Assistant, and Human Resource Specialist.  She currently holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management, a Masters in Management/Leadership and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management. 

Karen Long, Program Director

KAREN LONG is a consummate professional.  She is a retired Army Veteran with 26 years of experience in Human Capital Management.  A skilled communicator; able to maintain cultural sensitivity, establish rapport with members of diverse groups, and promote team cohesiveness.  Karen’s years of service as a federal employee has earned her the respect among her peers in her work ethics and endeavors.  Karen is a member of the missionary and greeters ministry at her church.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and numerous Certifications.  Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

Rachel Moye

A consummate high performer, Mrs. Moye is a Senior Acquisitions professional that delivers expert acquisition and program management guidance supporting federal agencies procure intelligence, information technology and engineering services.  Her 14 years of federal service and a combination of 15 years as an administrator in education and business advisor in state utilities have spanned across global markets.  She possesses strong supervisory; business management; strategic planning, major acquisition; and program management experience coupled with community involvement at federal, state and local levels that are leveraged to further WOTWON’s mission.  A stellar leader and mentor with an international presence in federal acquisitions holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and a Level III Certification in Acquisitions from the Defense Acquisition University.  Her long standing service to Beta Phi Sigma Sorority and her years of experience serving in education, private sector and as a civil servant are in direct alignment with WOTWON’s mission of supporting veterans.
